It's simple to refer patients to Royal Brompton & Harefields Hospitals Specialist Care. We offer short-notice appointments (with a medical referral) for a full range of tests and scans at all three of our locations:
Step 1: Doctor refers a patient
The patient's doctor or treating hospital can refer their patient directly to one of our consultants or to our customer services team, who will then put the patient in touch with the most appropriate consultant, or their secretary, to arrange the appointment. Please note, we require a medical referral for all diagnostic tests.
Or: Self-referral by a patient
Alternatively, patients can contact us directly to ask to be seen or admitted by one of our consultants. In this case, we would require a brief medical history - preferably by a treating physician - including any relevant test results. Contact our customer services team to find out more.
Step 2: Letter of invitation
Once a consultant has agreed to accept a private patient, a letter of invitation is sent to the patient. This gives details of the appointment or admission. If the patient is self-funding then it will also indicate the deposit required.
